Silvetti v. Alden Nursing Home
After falling at a nursing home, a male resident of a nursing home failed to regain his ability to speak, was not arouseable and did not respond to painful stimuli. Weeks later, he was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma. Surgery was performed to drain the hematoma. He developed ulcers and may have become septic. He died less than five months after the fall.
